My story begins in 1997 at Baylor University, when much to the dismay of parent's I switched my major from pre-med to fashion design.

I graduated in 2000 with my fashion design degree, an incredible travel resume and a ton of ambition.

For the next decade I worked in many facets of the fashion industry and for many companies around the globe.
Some of my best experiences came from Yves Saint Laurent and Hugo Boss.

After years of living and working in New York City, I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Lafayette, Louisiana.

In a beautiful twist of fate I met my husband the second day I was there and the rest as they say is history!

Maven Womenswear was opened in 2012 and is the ultimate culmination of everything I have learned working in fashion.

We are a family owned and operated business founded by husband and wife duo Daniel & Christina Barbier.
